This past week, the class was directed to read "Disclosing New Worlds: Intro." Honestly, I am unsure of how it relates to the course as of now but do have some guesses. The introduction was labeled "History or the End of History?" The article explained how the history of feminism advanced throughout history. I can only assume that the other chapters in "Disclosing New Worlds" will talk about how technology is changing the world and it's history. What do you think about what the article has to do with technology?
The article goes on to discuss that Cartesianism, or modernism, live in a non-historical way. We try to develop easy ways of dealing with ourselves and with things. How do you think we do this? I believe it is from the use of technology in our lives. Instead of just going to the library to do research, we go on the computer. However, we also use the computer for social media, games, and other guilty pleasures.
